As a Chief Architect, I worked in this Project which is an adaptation of Building # 22( former medicines store) of the block known as Sarra in old Havana, to the headquarters of the Directorate General of Architecture and Urban Projects of the Office of the Historian of the City.
In the building, will be located Colonial Havana project workshops, Puerto Viejo and Prado-Malecón, the offices of the Directorate General, in addition to the Directorate of Planning, Research and Development and the Directorate of Special Designs, the plant is also shared floor with offices of the Company for the Restoration of Monuments.
Here we propose the General Guidelines for interventions:
-Structure-Preservation Built into its elements basic components (horizontal and vertical structures, other structures and items of value).
-Diagnostics, repair and reinforcement of the structure of the deck and other horizontal structures in line with the requirements of the new project.
-Diagnosis, repair cracks and crevices in walls, slabs and other architectural elements.
-Diagnosis, overhaul, repair and installation of hydraulic and sanitary networks. Adaptation the new requirements.
-Diagnosis, overhaul, repair and installation of electrical networks. Adaptation the new requirements.
-Provide the building Hot water system and fitting the new requirements.
-Provide the building intruder protection systems and fire protection. Adaptation the new requirements.
-Use drywall for walls and ceilings.
-Use aluminum frames inside the building.
-Using raised floor in the areas of project offices and workshops
-Use ceiling in the areas of bathrooms and corridors, as appropriate
-Fitting of other weak currents.
